Education and Experience
Dr. Jon Anderson has practiced in Fort Collins since 2006 with the highest commitment to precision, quality, and genuinely outstanding patient experiences. From 2008-2019 Dr. Anderson was a previous owner of the multi-doctor practice, Shores Family Dentistry. Dr. Anderson has now transitioned into owning his own solo practice, with the intent of providing a more personable and relaxing dental experience for his patients. Dr. Anderson has been selected by yearly surveys of over 1,000 of his fellow Colorado dentists as 5280 Magazine’s Top Dentists in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. That’s eight years running!
He received the designation of Delta Dental Achieve Dentist. This places him in the top 5% of dentists in Colorado for statistically providing outstanding clinical results, conservative treatment, and effective preventive strategies based on insurance claim data for rework and prevention treatment.
His fellow dentists elected Dr. Anderson to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Larimer County Dental Society, where he is the President-Elect. He was also elected and served on the Board of Trustees for the non-profit Delta Dental of Colorado, and its charitable foundation. Accolades started early in his career, graduating from the highly ranked dental school, the University of Texas Health Science Center, with Honors, Cum Laude, and awards in dental implantology and practice management. He achieved Distinction on his National Boards (top 1%) and received the highest score at his university for his clinical State Dental Boards.
Beyond the Practice
His patients will tell you, there is much more to “Dr. A” than his passion for excellence in dentistry. Dr. Anderson’s family is the joy of his life. He is married to his loving wife of 27 years, Shauna. They have raised their four fantastic children, Jonny, Nick, Natalie, and Jacqueline, in the Fort Collins community. As a family, they enjoy supporting charity work with the following organizations:

Dr. Anderson is an active outdoor adventurer and can be found guiding his friends and family to grizzly bears, wolves, and all sorts of animals while having crazy experiences in Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, Glacier National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park.
He professes to be a poor wildlife photographer in National Parks, an even worse fly fisherman on the shores of the Poudre River, and a fair cook with a mean chocolate cake. His patients secretly attest to his poor ability to sing 80’s classic rock most afternoons.
